He is currently consulting mix engineer and producer for in San Jose.As an educator, Will taught at in San Francisco from 2015-2018, is a course author at, and is a well-known authority in the creative applications of music technology.
He has written and directed several in-depth educational video series, taught numerous workshops, and accepts occasional private students. Liam Shy - DJ, Producer & ConsultantLiam Shy has been hard at work creating events and experiences for the last 15+ years. He’s worked as a project manager, DJ, logistics specialist, live sound engineer, video engineer, photographer, videographer and more.In addition to his event management work, Liam Shy is a renowned educator and teacher, holding lecture positions at San Francisco State University and the Pyramind Institute for Digital Audio, and is the mind behind, performing at Coachella and Love Parade, and releasing tracks on Ultra Music. We’ve worked closely with Grammy-nominated composer, a Los Angeles–based composer, performer, and producer who has specialized in synthesized composition and performance.
Generally credited with introducing synthesizers to jazz in the early 1970s as a member of band, Gleeson has also written a wide variety of music for artists including the, Morpheus, and and numerous scores for film and television.We developed a system for live improvised electronic music, for a project Gleeson describes as as “some kind of weird mashup of late Miles Davis, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Minimalism, and electronic dance music.”. Gates has headlined Burning Man, Shambala, the World Electronic Music Festival and the New Orleans Jazz Festival.We helped Ill Gates develop several systems for live electronic performance, including those he sells through his website, and his personal performance rig. We designed and built a bespoke performance rig for, better known as, a DJ and producer of breakbeat electronic music based in Los Angeles, California.
A fellow New Zealander, McFadyens artistic career has taken him across the world, first as a resident in London's Fabric Nightclub, to multiple tours in Europe and Australia. He currently lives in LA, where he has become a fixture amongst North American art and music festivals.McFadyen's template is built in Ableton Live, using a OhmRGB and extensive custom scripting. This gives him in-depth, hands-on control of his performances, including extensive manipulation of dub-delays. From 2014-2018 Will Marshall worked at in San Francisco, initially as Artist in Residence, then as instructor and producer. Teaching two courses, DJ210 (Live Performance in Ableton) and MM301 (Mixing & Mastering), Will was responsible for course design and syllabus, as well as writing and teaching the first semester of DJ101.During his tenure at Pyramind Will also handled occasional commercial clients, and produced a series of online workshops and training videos covering numerous aspects of composition and production.
